چکیده

CPC solar collectors are a combination of new technologies that make it possible to generate heat from radiant energy by transferring between the absorber and fluid. This study was performed based on transfer equations proposing mathematical model, as reported in literature. A compound parabolic concentrators collector (CPC) numerical model simulated coded Aspen HYSYS MATLAB software validated comparing its results with other researchers experimental results. The includes two-dimensional describe thermal dynamic behavior fluid inside tube. Numerical simulations flow tube, along equation for tube wall, coating, insulation reflector, analysis, were repeatedly software. method is most appropriate reliable solving convergence. concentrated used evaluate validate model. short reflectors used. cylindrical real density ratio 1.8, reception angle 22 degrees length 2.81 m, width 0.32 an opening 0.1764 m. Analysis uncertainty proposed measured sample. In efficiency average deviation equal 7%, increasing temperature 9 °C. According these results, good correlation this has been obtained.

Design and Development of Compound Parabolic Concentrating Solar Collector with Flat Plate Absorber

In this research work 2-D CPC (Compound Parabolic Concentrator) with flat plate absorber and two parabolic reflectors is first designed and then fabricated for thermal performance analysis. Here the incident rays, after reflection from the reflector, are not focused at a point but are simply collected on a line of absorber surface. Acrylic sheets are provided to reduce the heat loss. Flat plate...

Design and Optical Performance of Compound Parabolic Solar Concentrators with Evacuated Tube as Receivers

Abstract: In the present article, six symmetric compound parabolic solar concentrators (CPCs) with all-glass evacuated solar tubes (EST) as the receiver are designed, and a comparative study on their optical performance is performed based on theoretical analysis and ray-tracing simulations. In terms of optical loss through gaps of CPCs and optical efficiency averaged for radiation over the acce...

Modelling of Compound Parabolic Concentrators for Photovoltaic Applications

In this paper ways of using compound parabolic concentrators as primary optical elements for concentrated photovoltaics are evaluated. The problems related to these classical non-imaging optical elements for photovoltaics applications have been evaluated by modelling different types of linear and point focus concentrators. Particular consideration is given to the issues of manufacturability and...

Compound parabolic concentrators for narrowband wireless infrared receivers

The desire for inexpensive, high-speed wireless links has motivated recent interest in infrared free-space communication systems.15 As a medium for short-range wireless communication, infrared offers significant advantages over radio. The infrared spectrum represents an immense, unregulated bandwidth. Moreover, infrared radiation does not pass through walls, allowing the operation of at least o...
